The Member of Parliament for Central Tongu Hon. Alexander Gabby Roosevelt Hottordze and the District Chief Executive Hon. Addison Dodzi Mornyuie have begun fulfilling the commitments they made to constituents during the 2024 electioneering campaign.
The exercise commenced on Sunday after church service with visits to two communities: New Havenu near Mafi Kumase and Mafi Sasekpe. Residents in both communities expressed excitement and appreciation when the MP and DCE, together with their entourage, presented truckloads of quality plastic chairs to support community activities.
In total, New Havenu received 50 chairs, while Mafi Sasekpe received 100 chairs.
There was jubilation in both communities as the MP used the opportunity to brief residents on developments in Parliament, while the DCE also updated them on key projects the Assembly will soon be implementing. The people of Mafi Sasekpe were particularly delighted to learn that their community is a beneficiary of a 6-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities, to be funded under DIPAC.
Community members pledged their continued support for the MP and DCE and offered prayers for their leadership and success.
The MP and DCE assured constituents that this is only the beginning, as the redemption of pledges will continue across the constituency. Other items to be distributed in subsequent phases include bags of cement, roofing sheets, and public address systems.
The items were formally received by the Assembly Members for Dzogadze and Sasekpe Electoral Areas, as well as the Headmen of the respective communities.
