The Matron of Wovenu Senior High Technical School, Tadzewu, in the Ketu North Municipality of the Volta Region, has been arrested in connection with the alleged theft of food items intended for students.
According to reports, the matron, Doris Foli, along with her sister, Perfect Foli, and a police officer, Bernard Amegbor, were caught red-handed by vigilant community members and the Assembly Member while transporting the food items in a vehicle. The recovered items included cartons of milk, mackerel, bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil (Frytol), and other provisions meant for student feeding.

The suspects have been handed over to the Tadzewu Police Station, where they are assisting with ongoing investigations. Preliminary reports suggest that this practice may have been occurring for some time.
The Ketu North Municipal Assembly has warned that any attempt to divert or misuse resources meant for students will not be tolerated. Authorities remain committed to safeguarding public resources and ensuring accountability at all levels.
