The Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has inaugurated two SMART classroom projects aimed at enhancing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education in the constituency.
The commissioning, which took place yesterday, forms part of efforts to modernize teaching and learning in schools across North Tongu. The newly inaugurated smart classrooms are fully equipped with internet connectivity, smart boards, tablets, solar panels, and relevant digital educational content to support effective learning.
This phase of the project benefits two senior high schools—Battor Senior High School (BASEC) and Aveyime-Battor Senior High Technical School (ABAST).
Hon. Ablakwa expressed his appreciation to the Chinese Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Tong Defa, for the fruitful partnership that made the initiative possible. He explained that while the project partners provided the STEM equipment and solar power systems, his office handled the construction and infrastructural components of the classrooms.

The initiative underscores the MP’s commitment to improving access to quality education and positioning North Tongu as a hub for academic and technological advancement.
