The District Chief Executive for Central Tongu has provided practical support to persons with disabilities in the district through the handover of essential items aimed at strengthening their livelihoods and promoting economic independence.


The intervention included the distribution of freezers, grinding machines, wheelchairs, industrial sewing machines, sacks of maize, plastic chairs, and other tools carefully selected to help beneficiaries expand their businesses and improve their income-generating activities.


The event was attended by the Member of Parliament, Hon. Alexander Roosevelt Hottordze, together with the NDC Constituency Chairman, the Women’s Organizer, the Constituency Organizer, and other party leaders, demonstrating a collective commitment to inclusive development in Central Tongu.
Addressing the gathering, the DCE reaffirmed his dedication to ensuring that persons with disabilities are not left behind in the district’s development agenda. He emphasized that empowerment must go beyond words and translate into tangible support that strengthens livelihoods and restores dignity.
Beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the timely intervention, describing it as a major boost to their businesses and daily lives.
The initiative forms part of the DCE’s ongoing commitment to promoting social inclusion, economic empowerment, and continuous attention to the welfare of persons with disabilities across Central Tongu.
